Gloria Deo Academy presents Tarzan on April 9 [SOLD OUT], 11[SOLD OUT], 12 [SOLD OUT], and 13 at the GDA Golden Campus (West Building Auditorium) located at 3146 S Golden Ave Springfield, MO 65807. Each show will be at 7 pm with a matinee on April 13 at 1:30 pm.
Washed up on the shores of West Africa, an infant boy is taken in and raised by gorillas who name him Tarzan. Apart from striving for acceptance from his ape father, Tarzan’s life is mostly monkey business until a human expedition treks into his tribe’s territory, and he encounters creatures like himself for the first time. Tarzan struggles to navigate a jungle, thick with emotion, as he discovers his animal upbringing clashing with his human instincts.
Admittance into the show is $10 for adults and $6 for students (children 3 and under are free to sit on your lap, however if you would like for your 3 year old to have a seat please purchase a student ticket).
Music and lyrics by Phil Collins; Book by David Henry Hwang. Based on the story “Tarzan and the Apes” By Edgar Rice Burroughs and the Disney film, “Tarzan.”
