October 27 and 28 is Literary Character Dress Up Day and CIA Day ($1 jeans day) for those that would like to dress up like their favorite literary character.

Students may choose one of the following options on that day:

-come to school dressed as their favorite character (no cost)

-wear jeans and lions t-shirts (as is typical on CIA Day for $1) *Reminder:  Students may wear jeans or jean skirts. Leggings should only be worn under jean skirts or uniforms and not as bottoms by themselves. Please wear jeans that do not have holes or rips.

-wear their school uniforms (no cost).

*Please make sure costumes are school appropriate (nothing scary, gross, or immodest). Also, keep in mind that it will still be a normal school day so make sure costumes allow students to see, write, run, climb, etc. (No character masks please).  

Students still need to wear tennis shoes/sneakers so they will be able to participate in P.E. and recess!

Our CIA focus for October is thanking local police officers and firefighters for their service. Students will express their appreciation by making cards and posters with their class.

We want to thank those who serve our community and will be providing a Thanksgiving Dinner for local law enforcement and first responders.  Donations will be accepted and help cooking will be appreciated.  Please contact the school office if you would like to help cook.
