The 2023 Back to School Event is on Sunday, August 13, from 5-8 PM at Rutledge Wilson Farm Park located at 3825 W Farm Rd 146, Springfield, MO 65807. Tinga Tacos and The Chop Shop Burger will be available for purchase during the event. Connect with your GDA family, enjoy delicious food, and have fun making memories as we kick off the 2023-2024 school year!

Online registration is closed. Tickets are available at the door for $8 each. Kids 4 and under are free.

Back to School Event FAQs

Q: Why would I want to purchase tickets prior to coming to the Back to School Event and when is the deadline to purchase tickets?

A: Tickets are $7 until Saturday, August 12. Kids 4 and under are free. Thank you for registering early to help us with our planning for this event! The ticket price will increase at the door to $8 on Sunday, August 13.

Q: How do I get my tickets?

A: Each ticket sold will give you one wristband to wear during the event. Check in at the registration table under the welcome tent to receive your family’s wristbands.

*An email receipt should automatically be sent to your inbox after your purchase. If you do not receive an email confirmation of your purchase, please email info@gloriadeoacademy.org.

Q: Will individual tickets be available for sale during the event?

A: Yes! Tickets can be purchased at Rutledge Wilson Farm Park for $8 each. Kids 4 and under are free.

Q: What is included with my ticket price?

A: Exclusive access to the Back to School Event activities which includes a hayride, cow train, inflatable bounce house, inflatable obstacle course, an inflatable slide, live music (old time fiddle music from GDA alumna, Emily Garoutte), old fashioned square dancing and more! Food trucks will be available for an additional cost.

Q: Will concessions be available?

A: Yes!  Food trucks/concession purchases will be a separate fee paid to each vendor. Families are welcome to pack a picnic dinner as well.

Q: How long will the Back to School Event last?

A: The 2023 Back to School Event will be on Sunday, August 13, from 5-8 PM. Families are welcome to come and go during the event.

Q: Will there be additional activities?

A: Yes. We will have an opportunity for you to connect with your child’s teacher, new GDA families, etc.

Q:  Are tickets refundable?

A: All ticket sales are non-refundable. 100% of the proceeds from the Back to School Event will go to the GDA building campaign. Q:  In the event of rain will the Back to School Event be cancelled or postponed?

A: The Back to School Event will occur rain or shine! We will have several tents available at the event.

Q:  Is this event only open to GDA families?

A: Friends and family of the GDA community are invited to attend.
