MOScholars, Missouri’s K-12 Scholarship Program Announced at Gloria Deo Academy

Missouri State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick held a news conference at Gloria Deo Academy at the beginning of July announcing the MOScholars, Missouri’s K-12 Scholarship Program.⁣
“𝘔𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦’𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥,” GDA parent, Sarah Boyd, spoke to KY3 at the press conference. ⁣
The State of Missouri has created a new $6,375 scholarship program for low-to-middle income families or students with a learning plan looking to make the move to private education called the MOScholars K-12 Scholarship Program. The main scholarship qualifiers are:
  • Families who live in Springfield or Joplin
  • Students who have attended a public school for at least a semester during the previous year or a child entering Kindergarten or first grade
  • Families whose household income qualifies them for up to 200% of the free lunch program $102,646 for a family of 4)

Please note is that you only have to qualify the first year and then you will receive it for the rest of the child’s k-12 education regardless of a change of address or income.
