We understand the struggle. Acquiring professional school attire can be 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐲, which is why we’re organizing the Clothing Swap for Educators event.
𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴:
⌓ Bring your gently used business casual items to Gloria Deo Academy. Our team will carefully arrange and categorize the clothing to ensure a pleasant browsing experience. Please ensure the clothing is modest, free of holes, stains, inappropriate graphics, etc.
⌓ Exchange your clothing donations for new items to revamp your wardrobe! The exchange rate is 1:1. Each piece you donate allows you to swap for something fresh. If you donate in advance we will keep track of your name and donation amount and have that information available at the event.
⌓ Donations will be accepted at GDA starting on Wednesday, July 24th. Please mark your drop-off clearly for the event. The school business office is open Monday-Thursday from 10 am – 2 pm during the summer.
⌓ Any leftover clothing will be donated locally.

Q: Will the clothing donations be for women only?
A: No. Men and women’s clothing donations will be accepted. Please do not bring clothing donations for children or other miscellaneous household items.
Q: Where will the leftover clothing donations be taken to?
A: We have called the Grand Oak Mission and will update you once we have official confirmation.
Q: Will maternity clothing donations be accepted?
A: Yes! Maternity clothing would be a wonderful blessing to the expecting mothers. Any leftover maternity apparel will be donated to Springfield Pregnancy Care Center.
Q: Where will I go for the Clothing Swap when I arrive?
A: Enter through the doors on the East building at Gloria Deo Academy. We will have signs posted so you can easily identify where the event is located. The bulk of the clothing donations will be on display in the gym.
Q: Do you need clothing hangers or clothing racks?
A: Yes! We have 5-8 clothing racks lined up to be used for the event. We will need clothing hangers and additional clothing racks will be needed. Please contact Madison Dick at 417-763-9377 or email mdick@gloriadeoacademy.org if you can help.
