Gloria Deo Academy offers a variety of extra-curricular clubs to GDA K-6 grade students and non-GDA students including: math, science, foreign language, fitness, cooking, art and so much more.

Summer Clubs Begin Wednesday, June 1.

2022 Summer Club registration will open soon. Please email Sheila Douglas for more information: sdouglas@gloriadeoacademy.org.

If Clubs are cancelled due to weather, the payment is non-refundable. GDA t-shirts (any GDA spirit wear shirt is approved) are required as the student “uniform” for Club students. Please purchase the t-shirts in advance. Lunch will be held during clubs from 11:20am – 11:45 pm. Students need to bring a sack lunch for summer clubs. Families will be emailed after registration is closed by the Club teacher. This email will give information about the specific club. Reader’s Theater Club
Join Mrs. Rahn for Reader’s Theater! Our amazing stories, scripts, poems and jokes will be the inspiration for our creativity.  A good story can truly teach everything!

PE Club

Mrs. Brado is teaching PE Club! Physical Education will contain instruction on how games are played, the rules and expectations for the game will be explained, and then the students will enjoy the games as a group. 

Mystery Scavenger Hunt 

Join Mrs. Brabo for an exciting time learning how to solve mysteries! The students will participate in activities using codes, solving logic puzzles, reading maps, and finding/using clues. We will then use the skills they learn to solve a mystery scavenger hunt.  

Cooking 

Calling all chefs! Join Mrs. Summers as we cook dishes from different cultures & make snacks related to great children’s books! 

Sign Language 

Are you fascinated watching sign language? Come learn a fun, visual way to communicate through crafts & games with Mrs. Summers. 

Intramural Sports and Games 

This class is for kids that like to move! We will be playing games and learning about different sports/rules/procedures, and we will be switching up a different sport every couple weeks i.e. soccer, kickball, dodgeball, ga-ga ball, baseball, etc. We will be outside in the warm sun and we will be on the go at all times. It’s gonna be sportstastic!!! 

Water Sports 

If your child enjoys laughing, running, splashing, playing, team sports, and getting utterly soaked while physically moving the whole hour, then this is the class for them. 

Art Club
Mrs. Whitney Sparkman will be teaching students different aspects of art. She will offer time for hands on learning for the students to use and enhance their creativity.

Bible Club
The students will take adventures through reading Scriptures and making the stories come to life by acting them out. There will be activities where the students will create or participate in while learning the Bible stories.

Gardening Club
Mrs. Kristie Hornberger will be out in the garden again with our students. She will be able to be here around the campus this year. There will be hands on learning while Mrs. Hornberger educates about horticulture.

French Club
Come join Mrs. Rahn and learn a new language! Are you interested in travel? Learning about new cultures? Then this is the club for you. We will be learning all about the country of France. We will learn vocabulary, see sights of France, taste test, and dive into the culture of France. See you soon! Au revoir!  

Wild and Wacky Science

Join Mrs. Kelli Norvell as we explore science through wild and wacky hands-on experiments. Students will build their science knowledge by learning and practicing the scientific method. Be sure to bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
